Andy Schwab co-founded Schwab & Gasparini in 2007 and is the Firm’s Managing Member (Partner).  Mr. Schwab received his B.A. in Business (Operations Management) from Syracuse University in 1988, and his J.D. from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1991. 

Mr. Schwab has more than twenty years of experience in trial practice and civil litigation, principally in the defense of medical malpractice actions on behalf of physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, nurses, mid-level care providers, and other health care organizations.   Mr. Schwab also has extensive experience in the defense of municipalities in civil litigation and trials, including civil rights, motor vehicle, school liability, premises liability, highway engineering and highway design. 

Mr. Schwab is admitted to practice in the Court's of New York State, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the Albany Count Bar Association.  Mr. Schwab has lectured in the fields of civil litigation and the defense of medical malpractice actions.  Mr. Schwab was formerly associated with Martin, Ganotis, Brown, Mould & Currie, P.C., where he served as a trial attorney.  

Mr. Schwab has been responsible for defending cases in all medical specialties for physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care organizations.  Mr. Schwab has tried cases involving the specialties of general surgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics & gynecology, including successful results in several high exposure birth injury cases involving diagnoses of cerebral palsy and mental retardation.
